Ricardo Lasa,
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Founder of Rivergy, Ricardo Lasa is a highly skilled business and information systems professional who understands the importance of long-term strategies and short- to mid-term implementation plans and their execution.  With a keen sense of how technology can be used to improve processes and gain a competitive business advantage, he made Rivergy into the premier web design and e-commerce firm of southwest Florida.

Lasa not only raised venture capital and secured other rounds of financing for Rivergy, but he also developed state-of-the art site building platforms that are currently commercialized in North America - platforms such as Web Piston Site Builder. 

Proficient in financial analysis, strategic planning, project management, software architecting, product development and business process reengineering, Lasa is also skilled in programming, including SQL, database design, C, and ASP.

In addition to his responsibilities at Rivergy, Lasa has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida teaching business application development at both introductory and advanced levels, and he was an information systems analyst for GTE Data Services.  Lasa joined the International Academy of Design Web Development program advisory board.

Lasa is fluent in English, Spanish and French and he holds a bachelor of arts degree in management information systems, a masters of science degree in Management Information Systems and a master's degree in business administration from the University of South Florida.  He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society for collegiate schools of business.
